With the greatest regret we report the demise of Karl-Heinz Fischer

Karl-Heinz Fischer (06/18/1937 - 03/31/2020) was a brilliant laboratory equipment entrepreneur, was founder of Biotronik GmbH, then since 1989, Abacus Analytical Systems GmbH. As a chemist and specialist in chromatography and mass spectrometry, he deeply understood the tasks of users and always helped in difficult situations. Karl-Heinz was the founder and president of Lions Club in Maintal (a branch of Lions Clubs International - an international charitable organization) and for many years he collaborated with the Lions Club in St. Petersburg - with the personal participation of Karl-Heinz, many good deeds were done for children with disabilities in Russia.
Karl-Heinz Fischer was a wise leader and a good friend. Having supplied Biotronik amino acid analyzers to scientific and production laboratories throughout the Soviet Union since 1970, and since the 2000s, Dionex Ion Chromatography equipment, Karl-Heinz has always been not only a business partner, but also often became a true friend - the scientists of Universities of Russia and many countries of the former USSR, employees of biotechnological companies, leading chemical experts in the nuclear industry, ecology and other industries know and remember him.
He was talented in everything he did - in business one of his principles was - to take a fun from job, like in music - all his life he playing clarinet and saxaphone, as part of professional and amateur jazz bands. Was extremely sporty - travelled cycling or by river boat in Europe, successfully played tennis for almost the rest of his days (2nd place in Germany in his age category).
He was a model of businessman, boss, friend, father and family man.
Eternal memory to him!
